At the Castle in Monmouth

This museum would have been neat to see during opening hours. There was a military museum and the remains of the old castle.

Grosmont Castle

Grosmont Castle was next up. Lots of hide & seek here! It was surrounded by a dry moat.

Road Trip to Wales

On our first road trip! We told the boys a couple of days in advance that we'd be going to Wales. John asked several times "will we see Whales there?" On the morning of the trip Mark was uncharacteristically excited, and when we asked him why he exclaimed "I want to go to Dolphin, I want to go to Dolphin!" Fortunately for both of the boys, we did see a mounted whale and a dolphin later on in the trip.

We squeezed into a rental car and headed for southern Wales. Daddy was a little nervous to be driving a 5-speed on the left side of the road, but God kept us safe for the duration of the trip.

The first castle we visited was Skenfrith.

Let's Walk the Long Walk!

At the end of June we decided to walk the long walk. It's about 3 miles from Windsor Castle to the statue of King George III. We chose a beautiful evening, and enjoyed our walk immensly!

More Fun in the Long Walk

Blythe is getting so big! She's almost 9 months here! She loves exploring anything she can find in the grass. John loves anything to do with a ball, and Mark loves playing or exploring.
