Windsor on the River Thames (April 15)

One of our friends named Josh sent us a boy named Flat Josh.  This is about a boy who becomes flat and has some very different adventures because of his unusual shape.  He was mailed to Windsor, UK (England - just West of London) and lived with the Spead family for two weeks.

Mr. Spead walks to work each morning.  He walks one mile through Windsor, over the River Thames (pronounced "Tems"), and into Eton.  One morning, Flat Josh walked Mr. Spead to work.  This is a picture of Flat Josh going over the bridge which spans the River Thames.

Here are some of the Swans who live on the river.  They are Mute Swans, and were traditionally owned by the Queen of England!

Here is another picture of Flat Josh, enjoying a sunny spring day next to the River Thames.

And here is a picture of what the bridge looks like!  You can see some boat houses in the background, too.
